Graduated from Stanley Medical College in 1987. Subsequently moved to the United Kingdom in 1991 for post graduation studies and training in Paediatrics and Paediatric Cardiology until Nov 1999. Practicing in Chennai, India as Senior Consultant interventional Paediatric Cardiologist since Jan 2000.

Dr. Prem Sekar has had quite an illustrious career. Having work in some of the best hospital in the UK and also in India, he is professional in all the therapeutic interventional procedures in structural heart disease across all age group including neonatal. He has adeptly handled several research projects and his finding have been published in leading medical journals. He is passionately involved in academic and research activities with emphasis on Cardiac Regenerative Technology.
